Blog 4: Discover Antigua… A Beach for Everyday of the Year

Antigua boasts 365 beaches (one for every day of the year), a diverse range of coastal experiences are on offer to visitors and residents. Take some time to experience some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, whether you’re looking to relax and sunbathe or enjoy some water sports, the crystal-clear waters and glistening sands are a given. With so many hidden gems to explore, it’s almost impossible to choose, check out our top picks below…

Dickenson Bay

Located on the north western coast, Dickenson Bay is one of Antigua's most popular beaches. It features a mile-long stretch of shimmering white sand and clear waters, making it ideal for swimming and water sports. The area is lively, with numerous resorts, restaurants and bars, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Half Moon Bay

The south eastern coast is home to Half Moon Bay, renowned for its stunning crescent shape and pristine white sands. The beach offers a tranquil setting, the perfect place to relax and unwind. The waters can vary from calm to moderately wavy, enjoyable for both swimmers and surfers alike. The bay provides a serene escape from reality, with an authentic Antiguan feel.

Ffryes Beach

Ffryes Beach on the western coast is known for its peaceful environment and crystal turquoise waters. The beach is partially shaded by sea grape trees, offering natural respite from the sun, making the beach very popular with families. Nearby, Dennis Cocktail Bar & Restaurant offers a delicious menu of local cuisine, enhancing the beach experience.

Pigeon Point Beach

Nestled near English Harbour, Pigeon Point Beach is a charming spot favoured by both locals and visitors. Its gentle waters make it very pleasant for swimming, especially for children. Its close proximity to historical sites like Nelson's Dockyard means visitors can explore beyond the beach.

Rendezvous Bay Beach

Searching for seclusion? Rendezvous Bay on the southern coast is among Antigua's most isolated beaches. Accessible primarily by hiking through trails from Falmouth Harbour or Wallings Nature Reserve, the journey rewards visitors with a tranquil, untouched shoreline. The surrounding rainforest and lagoon add to its natural allure.

Pearns Point

Our favourite of all the beaches on the island has to be our very own at Pearns Point. The secluded peninsula offers the ultimate secluded sanctuary to enjoy a beach day, immersed within beautiful surroundings. Beyond lying on the beach with your favourite book, the calm waters lend themselves perfectly for water sports. Swimming, snorkelling, sailing, jet skiing and kayaking are just some of the activities on offer. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for turtles as Leatherbacks and Green Turtles have been seen just off the north western side!

A choice of beachfront, ocean front or ocean view lots, each offering spectacular vistas across the iridescent turquoise sea, are all available at Pearns Point. Antigua is one of a few islands in the region to still have beachfront property available to buy! Click
